Ford GT. Return to Le Mans

It was my devised concept that helped win the pitch for Ford to make as much noice as possible to generate excitement amongst customers, old and new on their return to Le Mans after 50 years. The overall concept was quite ambitious with an old Ford GT40 looking at itself through film achievements of the past when it defeated Ferrari at Le Mans in 1966. Fast forward 50 years and Ford was ready to return with its modern day racer.
In reference to this legend I crafted a content campaign that in nine simple words explained the rivalry to racing fans young and old. It was called: “We’ve been watching. We’ve been waiting. Now we’re back.”

Start Your Engines

The whole campaign centred around an epic launch film that featured the winning GT40 morphing into the modern-day Ford GT racer. I worked with external partners to bring the CGI elements to life, while also shooting the car in France. A whole suite of images were also included within the delivery.

The film (and accompanying press, social and campaign assets) set both mainstream and social media alight, becoming the second most-watched film on YouTube in Ford Performance’s history.
